Role: Sales Volunteer
Position Reports To: Sales Coordinator
Location: Moshi, Tanzania Duration: 3 months Background of Totohealth Tanzania Ltd. Totohealth is a social enterprise based in Moshi town, Kilimanjaro Region. Our vision is a world where no woman dies giving life and a world where every child has a fair and equal start to life. Totohealth’s mission is to make motherhood* a safe and joyful experience. We offer a set of services available over the span of pregnancy, delivery and up to 5 years of a child’s life.
Our package of solutions include
(1) information, education and communication (IEC) through a interactive text messaging platform,
(2) life-saving products including a comprehensive Clean Delivery Pack (CDP) to be used at delivery, and
(3) Newborn Survival Pack (NSP) with applicable supplies for the mother and for newborn survival for first month of life. All these services are implemented in partnership with local District Government Departments, organisations & NGOs with mothers as clients. Our goals is to better provide IEC to parents and caregivers and get mothers to deliver with the help of a skilled birth attendant (at a health facility), and giving them access to products they need at health-facility and household level. Position description The sales volunteer will be primarily responsible to in assisting women and other community members to be registered into our educational SMS platform to receive educational messages on pregnancy, delivery and child rearing. The position offers a great opportunity to build and strengthen ones communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
 Work based on assigned targets to recruit women and other community members into our SMS platform
 Document field progress plus actual daily recruits reached
 Flexible and independent work planning and travel
 Field activities taking place in Kilimanjaro and Arusha Region but will be required to attend an initial training in Moshi.

Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s Degree in social science, public relations, or business preferred

Experience and skills
● Excellent interpersonal skills, including team work and individual excellence
● Excellent time management skills
● Excellent written, oral and presentation skills in both English and Swahili (preferred)
Remuneration
 For the most part, this will be an unpaid internship; however there will be a small commission for every
recruit made.
