JOB SUMMARY:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
(i)    Accurately and timely word processing documents in the Section by using personal computer in order to meet set targets; 
 
(ii)   
 Maintain records of incoming and outgoing correspondences and files 
while maintaining confidentiality using registers of direct 
communications with the concerned to facilitate Sectional activities and
 keeping track of file movements; 
 
(iii)    Attend sectional 
visitors by welcoming, entertaining and providing them with relevant 
information and guidance in a view to meet their need and maintain good 
image of VETA; 
 
(iv)    Arrange and maintain  record of events 
including appointments meetings visiting schedules by keeping an updated
 diary of events to facilitate working schedule of the Section; 
 
(v)   
 Participates in the preparation of budgets by providing inputs of 
requirement in order to facilitate preparation of Sectional budgets; 
 
(vi)   
 Timely raise order of office requirements by using requisition form to 
ensure adequate office supplies to the section; and 
 
(vii)    Carry out any other responsibility as may be assigned by the head of Section. 
 
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
Form Four ( “O” level) Education Certificate, PLUS Typing 
Stage II, Office Practice Stage I & Secretarial Duties Stage I 
Certificate from a recognised Institution, with At least three (3) 
years’ working experience from outside in the field plus six (6) months’
 probation

 Make authorized phone calls as per laid down rules, guidelines and

(iv)    Maintain the switch board in a proper manner by reporting immediately any malfunctions for necessary repairs; 
 
(v)   
 Receive and attend visitors by directing them to the relevant offices 
and officers aimed at making the visitors get the proper courtesy and 
attention; 
 
(vi)    Promote the organisational image by 
maintaining frontline disposition and appearance in order to promote the
 corporate image of the authority; and 
 
(vii)    Provide 
secretarial support as may be assigned by office supervisor with a view 
to improve the performance of the section. 
 
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
Form Four (O” level) Education Certificate, PLUS Telephone 
Operators Certificate/Secretarial Certificate from a recognised 
Institution, with at least Three (3) years’ work experience in the field
 plus six months’ probation period.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
(i)    Participate in the preparation of annual plan and 
budget by compiling data from his work station for onward submission to 
the superior; 
(ii)    Prepare instructional plan and scheme of 
training by interpreting the occupational unit standard and guidelines 
in view to achieve optimum results and set objectives; 
(iii)    
Prepare appropriate tools and equipment required for 
presentation/Demonstration by identifying them as mentioned in a range 
statement in order to enable conducive training process; 
(iv)    
Effectively and efficiently deliver instructions to trainees of level 
one (I) up to level two (2) only through lectures, demonstrations, 
discussions and performing intended knowledge skill and attitude in 
order to produce trainees with the required competencies; 
(v)    
Perform formative and summative assessment to preparing and using 
assessment tools such as oral, written, product assessment and record in
 Log books in order to evaluate their level of competences; 
(vi)   
 Participate in curriculum development by initiating improvement 
recommendations, attending workshops, seminars in order to validate the 
value of training as per the economic growth demand; 
(vii)    
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, terminal and annual implementation and 
progress reports by compiling trainee’s assessment forms in view to 
evaluate training status; 
(viii)    Monitor discipline of 
trainees by following rules and regulations stipulated in their joining 
instruction in order to maintain peace and order at the Training Centre; 
(ix)   
 Guide safe use of   training tools and equipments by performing daily 
preventive and corrective maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, 
fault checking and do minor repairing to maintain their life span; 
(x)   
 Provide cancelling to trainees through physical discussion and advising
 in order to give direction and guidance for the better life of our 
trainees; and 
(xi)    Prepare monthly, quarterly/annual financial
 progress report by consolidating progress station records for onward 
submission to the superior. 
 
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
Form Four (IV) Certificate with at least 3 credits, plus 
FTC/Diploma in the relevant field (Secretarial Studies) and Vocational 
Training certificate or equivalent from recognized institutions with at 
least 2 years working experience in the relevant field.

• Set and maintain organizational objectives for the year, ensuring their effective completion

Financial Management & Revenue Generation (25%) 
• In partnership with the Director of Finance, develop and manage the annual Anza budget 
• Assist Director of Finance to conduct month-end meetings with each 
department manager: actual vs budget, review P&L, cash flow, and 
make strategic decisions on use of funds 
• Review and approve filings for taxes, supervising processes for accounting 
• Participate in annual audit process 
• In partnership with the Fundraising Manager, actively solicit new 
institutional contracts and fee-for-service engagements that fit our 
core skills, confirm scope of work and allocate resources for effective 
project management 
• In partnership with the Fundraising Manager, cultivate and steward 
current and potential donors, including foundations, high net-worth 
individuals and banking partners 
• Serve as an in-country point-of-contact for institutional contracts 
Programmes Oversight (25%) 
• Oversee and manage all programmatic elements of the Anza Accelerator and Anza Growth Fund 
• Supervise Client Services Manager to ensure that department meets sales and product goals 
• Work closely with the AEC M&E Manager to track company evaluations/metrics 
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives needed to meet company goals 
• Use available tools (time tracking, CRM database, etc.) to create meaningful reports and insight 
• Responsible for oversight of client service deliverables including assessments, consulting, etc. 
• Maintain and improve client management workflow systems and oversee new client sales 
• Work closely with Anza Growth Fund management to ensure portfolio performance and participate in investment committee meetings 
Partnerships, external stakeholders & communications (10%) 
• Serve as lead spokesperson for Anza 
• Represent Anza at ministry meetings, conferences, and other public speaking engagements 
• Develop and maintain relevant high-level partnerships and 
collaborations, including with local and national government partners 
• Work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure messaging meets Anza company objectives 
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS 
A successful candidate will have previous significant leadership and 
management experience of a complex organization, and a deep 
understanding of the challenges for entrepreneurs and SME development in
 Tanzania. 
Qualifications include: 
• 8+ years’ experience in management consulting, entrepreneurship, international development 
• Must be a Tanzanian national 
• Self-starter with ability to produce results within budget and establish new systems 
• Proven track record of leadership, planning and management responsibilities 
• Significant experience with managing staff in a senior management role 
• Budgeting and fundraising experience strongly preferred 
• Must be excited by working in fast-paced, resource constrained start-up environment 
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with strong preference for additional fluency in Swahili

About
 Us
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be required to directly 
supervise the finance, commercial and stores & procurement 
departments. You will also be required to take initiatives and give key 
input and take various responsibilities in the company’s overall 
administration and operations. Other key tasks include internal audit, 
MIS, budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, 
securing funding and being an integral member in the decision making 
process for further investments / projects. 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
• Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization’s mission 
• Train the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters 
• Work with the MD on the strategic vision including fostering and 
cultivating stakeholder relationships on city, regional, and national 
levels, as well as assisting in the development and negotiation of 
contracts 
• Participate in developing new business, specifically: assist the MD in
 identifying new funding opportunities, the drafting of prospective 
budgets and determining cost effectiveness of prospective service 
delivery 
• Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating 
documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass
 independent audits 
• Detailed audit of operational budgets and work closely with MD to ensure success through cost analysis support 
• Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting 
activities for the organization including: organizational 
revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to financial 
institutions, development and monitoring of organizational and contract 
budgets 
• Oversee purchasing and payroll activity for staff and workers 
• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization 
• Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors 
ensuring all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance issues are 
met, and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in 
accordance with statutory requirements 
• Attend Board and Subcommittee meetings; including being the lead staff on any Audit/Finance Committee 
• Monitor banking activities of the organization. • Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization’s needs 
• Oversee the production of monthly reports and financial statements and
 cash flow projections for use by Executive management and Board of 
Directors 
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and ensure a recovery plan is in place for problematic debts 
• Maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets and the fixed asset register 
• Oversee all statutory liaison, requirements and implementation 
• Oversee the preparation of strategic operational administration manuals 
• Preparation of systems for an eventual transition to an enterprise resource platform

• Coordinating and attending board and committee meetings and drafting minutes 
• Serving as a liaison for directors, officers, and shareholders 
• Directing the activities related to the meeting of shareholders 
• Maintaining key corporate documents and records 
• Supervising stock transfers
