Job Title: Boiler Operator
Reports to: Utility & WWTP Shift Supervisor
Main Duties:
Insure all safety and environmental goals are met.
Planning and coordination to meet the production schedule and maximize efficiency.
Boiler, condensate, water systems management.
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
Reporting to the Utility & WWTP Shift Supervisor.
Responsible for the boiler operation, boiler maintenance.
Will be trained in other utility packages like Cooling Tower, UPW & DI Water plant, Instrument & plant air compressor unit, Chiller unit, WWTP.
Maintain production documentation, report malfunctions and ensure the safe operation.
Must work closely with all other units.
Monitor the DCS/PLC control system to maintain a safe operational plant while supporting production goals.
Good knowledge on steam properties & boiler standards. Responsible to maintain the clean environment in work areas.
Coordination with maintenance team for preventive and unscheduled maintenance work to reduce the down time.
Maintaining shift log, raw materials and consumables data.
Operator will be expected to perform light maintenance such as manual valve replacement, hose connection/disconnection, valve turning, pipe bolting and unbolting, lifting items up to 20 kg as required, housekeeping as required to keep the plant operating safely.
Work Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in medium pressure boiler operation and utilities.
Education:
Minimum of Technical Diploma or College Diploma with first class boiler operating certificate.
Skills, Capabilities and Languages:
Excellent in oral & written English is required.
