Description
The M&E Officer will support the all data collection, analysis, and learning activities to help ensure accountability and efficiency. Will support FBO to develop, implement and monitor business plans
Responsibilities
a. The M&E Officer will work closely with programme learning and accountability(PLA) Manager to support capacity building of cluster members and farmer organizations in capture, and keep various data and records for project useful for tracking their progress
  1. Support project/program to properly document, organize and capture program progress data.
  2. Make regular field visits to ensure the quality of data collected by Programs and to
  3. Coach aggregation centers operators and buyers to capture and maintain aggregation and trading data records.
  4. Support farmer organizations and Village Aggregation Centers (VACs) to evaluate market requirements; develop, implement and monitor business plans
Qualifications and competences
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of these fields - Economics, Community Development Information Management, Project Management, Finance
- 1 to 3 years of monitoring and evaluation experience
- Experience in supporting farmer organizations in business planning
- Good level of proficiency in Windows, Excel and quantitative analysis
- Ability to design M&E tools, surveys, surveillance systems, and evaluations
- Demonstrated ability to train and build capacity of others
- Strong interpersonal skills
Preference will be given to competent service providers who are domiciled and operating from within our projects districts Simanjiro, Meru, Arusha, Mwanga, Moshi and Babati
