Good Neighbors Tanzania is implementing livelihoods programs in the refugee camp. The Credit Program Officer will be working closely with the community for VSLA and micro finance programs in the camps. He/She will be the focal person for microfinance and VSLA for Good Neighbors in the camp implementing in the field level reporting to Senior Project Officer under the supervision of Field Coordinator.
The role of the Credit Program Officer will be to provide support to all of GNTZ’s livelihoods projects and especially on VSLA and microfinance. The Credit Program Officer will be focusing on building capacity of the community members who are engaging in VSLA and Micro finance implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support to design and implementation of camp level credit and cash programs under the supervision of Field Coordinator.
• Responsible for designing and implementing Credit and Cash programs with minimal supervision.
• Management of credit Refugees Incentive Workers.
• Designing and implementing trainings to the community.
• Assist in data collection on camp level finance situation in regards to livelihoods.
• Conduct M&E on project in camps.
• Prepare weekly, monthly report for different donors
• Coordination with different partner agencies NGOs, UN and Government Authorities.
Qualification and experience
• Social Science, Economics, Finance or any relevant degree
• Master’s degree is an advantage
• One year experience in NGO sector preferred cash program experience or/and refugee operation experience.
• Fluent in speaking and writing English and Swahili.
