The Program Manager will be responsible for:
- Implementation of recovery/development projects mainly funded by Institutional Donors;
- Assisting the Country Director in setting up and managing recovery/development programmes according to Dorcas policies, Dorcas Annual Plan and donor requirements;
- Managing, capacitating and coaching of the local staff in project implementation;
- Designing budgets and monitoring expenses of the development projects implemented by Dorcas and its local partners;
- Support logistic, financial and administrative management;
- Developing new projects and proposals for institutional donors;
- Timely submission of reports to the headquarters and institutional donors according to their and Dorcas HQ requirements;
- Providing technical advice and support to field staff and partner organisations;
- Contribute to strategy and policy developments as required;
- Support staff recruitment;
- Represent Dorcas at relevant technical meetings;
- Networking with relevant donors government institutions and other stakeholders;
- Perform any other duty as required or assigned.
- Program Manager Tanzania (stationed In Arumeru/ Usa river) Arusha.
- MA/Msc degree preferably related to Community development, Project Planning, developing behavior change and livelihoods. Candidates with a BSc degree that have extensive relevant experience are also invited to apply;
- At least 5 years relevant field experience and at least 3 years program management experience;
- Experience working in local communities is a prerequisite.
- Expert in recovery and community development programming, preferably in fragile/conflict-prone contexts;
- Settled character with ability to cope with stressful, delicate and possibly unstable situations;
- Proactive attitude, flexible personality, strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Experience in working with partner organizations;
- Experience with raising funds and managing projects funded by Institutional Donors;
- Experience in writing proposals, capable to pursuit, set goals and to achieve them;
- Fluent command of English;
- Adherence to the mission and vision of Dorcas;
