- Projects
a. Working with booking manager to comfirm availability and placements for volunteers.
b. Project chats and orientations. Keeping updated with projects during visits.
c. Showing guests to their projects and making transport arrangements.
d. Keeping updated with volunteers about their project placement - addressing concerns or issues volunteers may have. - Organise airport pickups.
- Be aware of arrivals and departures, available to welcome all new volunteers.
- Hostel and town tours.
- Knowing names of all guests and where they are volunteering.
- Assist in taking volunteers to medical clinics, Police stations, Markets, Shopping if they need assistance.
- Ensure everything is working correctly at the Hostel, Organising repairs etc
- Monitoring stores.
- Complete weekly retirement for accounts.
- Attend weekly management meetings.
- Regular project visits.
- General socializing with guests and making them feel comfortable.
- Report back to management with any problems you cannot assist with.
- Make sure all official Hostel Documents are up to date.
- Making sure beds are made and rooms are clean and ready for new guests arriving.
- Always being available to help guests i.e buying SIM cards,bus tickets etc.
- Paying bills, collecting parcels from post office, photocopying and other simple admin tasks.
- Be around outside hours to answer questions and solve problems if necessary.
- Refer volunteers to bookings manager regarding rooming questions, booking extensions e.t.c.
- Help organising weekend and day trips.
