Helen Keller International is seeking applicants to place on a roster to fill temporary driver positions for upcoming projects. Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Country Representative, managed by the Administrative Assistant, selected drivers will be employed on a part time basis, and will be on call to provide support to the office and to program staff as needed. Drivers will be responsible to ensure office staff are driven safely to meetings, workshops, and other work-related destinations, and will be required to accompany field teams on data collection and supportive supervision visits, as well as trainings throughout the country. Drivers will be responsible for ensuring vehicles under their charge are maintained in an optimal working condition.

Academic Requirements: Minimum of secondary school leaving certificate, Valid driver’s license, Defensive driving certificate.
Experience: 3 years work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record. Knowledge of driving rules and regulations. Applicants should be conversant with the road network and traffic regulations of Tanzania, skilled in minor vehicle repairs, competent in oral and written English, and have elementary skills with computers (e.g. email, internet, word processing).
