Regional manager – Ruvuma is looking for suitable qualified Tanzanian candidates for 17 post including 14 available at sisi kwa sisi weighbridge station- Tunduru and 3 available at Luhimba /Lipokela  in Songea District.  Regional Manager TANROADS – RUVUMA invites and qualified candidates who will work on shift basis to apply for the following positions.

WEIGH BRIDGE STATION POST

1. SHIFT IN-CHARGE 5 POSTS (3 posts for Tunduru and 2 posts for Songea)

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Holder of first degree in any position
  • Must be computer literacy
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili
  • Must be Tanzania citizen
  • Age between 35 – 40 years
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Measuring physical dimensions of motor vehicle or any load being carried on the motor vehicle for providing advice
  • Recording all necessary particulars regarding the motors vehicles being weighed
  • Observing good customer care dignity and integrity
  • Reporting matters on axle  load control to Regional manager
2. WEIGH BRIDGE OPERATORS 7 POSTS (6 posts in Tunduru and 1 post in Songea)
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Full technician  certificate in civil engineering or electrical
  • Must be computer literacy
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili
  • Must be Tanzania citizen
  • Age between 35 – 40 years
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Weigh motor vehicle gross vehicle weight (GVW)>3.500kg plying on our public roads
  • Imposing road damage  feels on the spot for overload vehicles
  • Recording all necessary particulars regarding the motor vehicle being weighted
  • Reporting all matters of the respective shift to the shift-in charge
3. CASHIER (3 POSTS)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Holder ordinary secondary education/ advanced secondary/ and ATEC, NABE stage II o equivalent
  • Must be computer literacy
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili
  • Must be Tanzania citizen
  • Agee between 35 – 40 years
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collecting and baking all weigh bridge charges according to weigh scale device
  • Seeking current USD exchange rates issued by BOT for case of imposing charges that are equivalent Tanzania  shillings
  • Filing all records timely
  • Maintain asset register
  • Observing good customer care dignity and integrity
  • Reporting all matters  to the shift in-charge
4. OFFICE ATTENDANT (2 POSTS)

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Holder form iv certificates
  • Must be computer literacy
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili
  • Must be Tanzania citizen
  • Age between 35 – 40 years
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carrying out activities as described in the road traffic maximum weight of vehicle regulations which activities include the following

  • Clearing office, washroom and weighbridge premises
  • Preparing and serving tea coffee and refreshments
  • Moving file and documentations as directed
  • Dispatch letter or parcels
  • Observing good  customer care dignity and integrity
  • Reporting all maters to the shift in-charge
