Job Description
One Acre Fund is a rapidly–growing organization, and is increasingly building up operational support for that growth. We are looking for someone to provide operations support for our Tanzania program, specifically to services relating to our international headquarters in Iringa, Tanzania.

This is a wonderful opportunity to take on a challenging management role that supports our current and future staff.

You will be responsible for operational management (including areas such as expansion, security, donor relations, support staff management), operational systems innovation, and staff development and capacity building:

Operational Management: You will be responsible for managing a large amount of our program operational support. You will have management responsibilities for the majority of the Corporate Operations team in the below areas:

Support-Staff Management: We have a strong team of operations support staff that forms the backbone of our program as a whole. The successful candidate will manage some or all of the following departments:
Transport Management: You will manage a team which aims to provide safe vehicles to support our operations, develop transport policies and systems, and liaise with external providers (taxi companies, shuttle services, etc) with an aim of providing transport support to all of our team.
Property Services and Guest Room Management: You will manage a team which develops maintenance and security systems and hospitality services for our offices, homes and guest rooms. This will include working with department managers, support staff, our internal Infrastructure team and external security providers and providing administrative support for these processes.
Visitor Support Systems: You will manage a team of people who host visitors and provide them with logistical support. Visitors can include partner organizations, interview candidates, and donors.
Office Management: You will oversee the smooth running of office systems and services, both at our HQ and our Regional Offices.
Operational Systems Innovation: You will be responsible for improving and innovating our current operations systems and processes to become more efficient and impactful.

Tanzania Recruitment Support: Recruiting the best candidates from the countries we work in is a huge priority for One Acre Fund with the potential to have far reaching outcomes affecting the lives of hundreds of thousands of our future possible farmers. You will be responsible for helping to building a local recruitment team to handle in-country recruitment, as well as working with our International East Africa Recruitment team to support Tanzania outreach events and prospective networks for leadership candidates.

Mapping out recruitment needs and filling 100% of needed positions within Iringa region operations year on year
Developing a constant and streamlined candidate network to have at least 3 possible candidates for every open position needed within any given year
Create Iringa region recruitment strategies, and delegate all execution of recruitment within this strategy to a strongly managed recruitment team

General Role & Responsibilities:

Mentorship and Coaching: You will be responsible for directing and mentoring team leads in each of these areas, and ensuring an excellent quality of service across the department.
Staff Development: We have fantastic team. You will be responsible for further training of our staff and building the team capacity to run a smooth and sustainable operation. This will include staff training, constant mentorship, and feedback.
You will specifically be responsible for handing off day to day, quality management of all Corporate Operations systems and services within 1 year from your start date to our Corporate Operations Director.

Possible promotion to People Operations Manager (multi-national) with excellent performance.
