Job Title: Retail Merchandiser – South East, South West & North of England

Job Duties:
  • The role predominantly covers the areas above of England. The role does include travel outside of this area, and some international travel. This territory map will be discussed and reviewed on an ongoing basis with the management team.
  • First and foremost, you will be a brand ambassador for Briers, maintaining our high levels of service that our customers expect from us.
  • To work within and achieve weekly objectives, KPI’s, SOP’s and route plans as set by Area Sales Manager.
  • Reporting, day-to-day, will be to Area Sales Manager, there will be occasions you are required to work with the sales and trading teams as directed by management team.
  • Although day to day reporting will be to Area Sales Manager there may well be occasion where you are required to work with sales teams or trading teams as directed by management team.
  • To maintain all company’s planograms in line with initial set up schedules.
  • To tidy and maintain fixtures through general housekeeping.
  • To manage the process of new store installations through implementing new stands in a timely manner working within the customers health and safety guidelines.
  • To repair all merchandise to ‘as new’ condition with header cards, dennison tags, repair stickers and ensure stock is in a saleable condition.
  • To request and utilise customers EPOS data to maintain accurate stock files by checking ON HAND data to match physical stock, errors need to corrected on site.
  • To ensure pricing of all product is maintained through either SEL or individually priced, matching the customers branding and retail standards.
  • To train store staff to position promotional units in the best possible ‘high footfall’ location to further sales.
  • Create and maintain close working relationships with your accounts.
  • To ensure all customers are aware of best practice in terms of sales and stock loss.
  • To train all stores to become brand aware but also the features and benefits of each SKU.
  • To send detailed weekly reports to Area Sales Manager showing work achieved, orders generated and before and after pictures of each site visited.
  • To work with Area Sales Manager to understand weekly benchmarking reports and to adjust journey plans in accordance with these discussions.
  • To grow and maintain current key accounts set out by MD / Sales Managers & the management team, these will be reviewed on a monthly basis and progress will be monitored closely.
  • To ensure current SLA’s are maintained and where possible improved upon. 
  • To ensure all actions are designed to maximise sales wherever possible and to feed back any suggestions to the management team.
  • To attend trade shows as directed by management team whereby overnight stays and foreign travel may be required.  You will also be required to work weekends as directed by the management team.
  • There may well be other ad hoc duties required that will be directed by the management team on a case by case basis
