Relationship Manager
Job Purpose
To build and manage relationship with clients so as to ensure optimum customer acquisition, retention and income generation from sales of all products and services of the bank. To achieve the development of banking and profitability.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To develop new client and maintain existing clients.
• To make sales to clients with bank products and services to achieve designated sales targets.
• To conduct regular clients visit for relationship building, retention & growth of deposit.
• To provide quality banking experience and service to clients
• Understanding of clients’ financial needs, industry knowledge and finding clients to transact with the bank to ensure increase in revenue.
• Conducting business reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with their products and services.
• To analyze and provide relevant feedback on competitor products and services.
• Contributing to the development of new products and services, based on client feedback.
• Maintaining a strong up to date working knowledge of various markets and industrial sectors, the client portfolios / products with the company.
• Monitor relationship profitability regularly and ensure that the return is proportionate with the type and risk profile of the client.
• Undertaking commercial negotiations.
• Participate in internal and external business events, road and seminars as required by the business.
• Letting clients know about other products the bank offers.
• Working closely with Credit department, Finance department, Branch operation department and other related departments.
• Ensure compliance to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money laundering (AML) requirements in all dealing with existing and potential clients.
• To complete the work assigned by the leader.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A University degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, Banking or any related field
• Good understanding of Bank and of Banking products and services
• 2-3 years of experience in banking specifically in managing Corporate Clients.
• Proven successful track record of accuracy, efficiency and commitment, with the drive and determination to meet and exceed targets
• Team player

• People management skills
• Good communication skills in both English and Swahili.
• Excellent customer service skills with an honest and trustworthy manner
• Good sales and negotiation skills
• Analytical skills, computer literacy, accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being both a good listener and able to explain complex issues in clear and simple terms
